Our Philosophy

At Peek-a-Boo In Home Childcare we value, respect and acknowledge
Te Tiriti o Waitangi to ensure the participation, power and partnership between all children, their whānau, educators and visiting teachers.
We support children, educators and visiting teachers to develop knowledge and an understanding of both parties of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and of the cultural diversity we have in our multicultural society.

We value whanaungatanga, where children and whānau are respected and participation of all children, families, educators is welcomed and encouraged, striving to establish partnerships between children, families, educators and visiting teachers. Children's learning is supported through strong attachments, reciprocal and responsive relationships which will provide successful learning opportunities for all.

At Peek-a-Boo In Home Childcare, we see children as competent and capable leaners who develop holistically and who are supported to take risks, problem solve and make sense of the world around them.
We believe children learn through play which is supported by a socio-cultural curriculum where our educators provide safe, inclusive, and nurturing environments and children are empowered and encouraged to discover with inquisitive confidence.
